CERIC at the 2nd ERIC Forum meeting
CERIC-ERIC attended the 2nd ERIC Forum meeting at Instruct-ERIC in Oxford UK on April 19-20th.
Managers and staff of existing and prospective ERICs had the chance to exchange best practices, and to discuss common problems and the related possible solutions with the delegates of the European Commission present at the event.
Ornela De Giacomo, Deputy Executive Director at CERIC, presented the outcomes of a questionnaire distributed to other ERICs, and showed the methodologies used by ERICs to measure their performance. A special focus was given to CERIC, based on the methodology under development in the framework of the ACCELERATE H2020 project.
Also possible actions and best practices improving the communication of RIs’, and of the ERIC Forum, have been discussed. Communications officers from CERIC, CLARIN ERIC and BBMRI-ERIC brought their case studies. CERIC’s presentation also focused on the activities carried out and the knowledge acquired through the ACCELERATE project.
The ERIC Forum brings together established ERICs and major Research Infrastructures with those that are progressing towards ERIC status through the ESFRI Roadmap. Its objectives are to develop visibility, impact and sustainability of the Research Infrastructures and support international research through cooperative actions.
