Learning the basics of project management and (science) communication in the PaGES 9 project

Between the end of February and the beginning of March, 2025, two members of the CERIC staff – Andrea Santelli and Nicoletta Carboni – visited the four high schools involved in the PaGES 9 project, to give lectures on project management and (science) communication.

Overall, 45 pupils had the chance to have a better understanding of the basic elements and tools to plan and implement a project, as well as some of the means and principles for its communication and for the dissemination of its results.

In addition to the knowledge acquired through the theoretical lectures, pupils had the chance to also have an overview of the wide range of career opportunities that are available in a research infrastructure, for them to have a wider landscape of the choices they might take for their future educational and career path.

In the next activity foreseen in the project, pupils will visit our CERIC premises at the Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste, where they will carry out real experiments at some of the beamlines and instruments from the Italian and the Austrian CERIC partner facilities.
